Ello folks, I have absolutely nothing to blog, zilch, nadda, not a single thing. Its been a very lazy week for me, I've not done anything yarn wise, no knitting, weaving or spinning. I did do a little gardening, transplanted and thinned some of my tobacco plants.
My sister is due down on Sunday so now I'm in a rush to finish weaving the scarf but the problem is I'm not very happy with the results so far so might not end up giving it to her after all. That's even if I can get it finished in time. I'll see how it turns out after its been washed but if I'm not happy I'll save it as a sample so I can see my improvements over time. I can always whip up a book mark or keythob on the inkle loom, love the inkle loom as its really quick to weave simple patterns.
Hope you all have a great day, take care folks.

Short quick blog post.
Ello folks, not much to blog about so just a short quick post tonight. I've switched off the stupid unreadable codes so anyone can now post comments. I really need to clean up the main page, things like projects and I should clean up a few of the other pages like current and future projects. Depending on anymore changes to blogger I might switch to another platform like wordpress, that is if I can get back into blogging more often again. Might not be worth my while to switch.
Had a day off yesterday that I was planning to get some weaving done but ended up messing around trying to install TOR and get it to work. I didn't manage to get it to work but did learn how to use the terminal in linux better. I'll try again maybe this weekend, for now I have a live cd version of TOR so if I have to slip the .govs leash I can do.
Hope you all have a great day, take care folks.

Lost my mojo.
Ello folks, hope your all doing well. I've gotten very little weaving done even though I had all weekend free, kind of makes it hard to blog about crafty stuff so this will be a short post I reckon. I'm not 100% happy with the colours I'm using for the scarf I'm weaving, the light blue and purple are too close so the squares don't stand out as much as I'd of liked. I've started so I'll finish and next time pick colours that contrast more.
The weather here is pretty wicked at the moment, high winds, cold, rain and we might get some snow over night. Tonight I really wish I had made a start on spinning, and finished and knitted the fingerless gloves I have planned. Oh well, I'm sure they will be ready for next winter.

Back?
Hi folks, sorry I've not blogged in a long long time but think I'm ready for a come back. You know how it is, the longer you leave it the harder it seems. All is well over here, a little chilly at the moment though. I'm still knitting but not as much, my hearts not been in it lately. Currently working on a very late Christmas present, knitting pockets for a moss / seed stitch scarf. Working on the five fold aran braids, got about half a pocket done so far.I did knit another scarf as a Christmas present, a reversible aran cable scarf, sorry no pictures.
Hope your all doing well, keep checking back and I'll see if I can start posting regular again.

Slow going
I know a lot of knitters who only knit during the winter months. I tend to knit all year round but at the moment I'm having a quiet spell where I can't seem to get into any knitting or other yarn projects. I've had short spells before where I've not knitted anything and am hoping this spell will not last long. I'll keep at it until the spells broken but blogging might be lighter than usual.
My tomatoes are not ready yet but are very close, I'm itching to try one and can barely wait. I love picking my first crops, a wonderful sense of achievement.
Hope you all have a great day, take care folks.

Yay, running water.
Well the plumber did turn up and managed to fix everything, up to a point. Theres a small leak on the stop tap but I think that will stop once the taps bedded in. The plumber also forgot to re attach the earth cable which I did as soon as I saw it. Don't want the house to burn down. Its really nice to have running water again and now that I have I realise the stress it has been causing me the last week or so. Glad that's over with.
The dogs had a couple more fits, last one was at 10.30 pm so I'm hoping that was the last. I slept pretty well on the couch last night and will spend another night there, then back to my own bed if he has no more fits.
This whole week I've hardly touched anything yarn wise, just too much going on. I'll correct that this weekend though. Today I have to bottle up some beer but will try and fit some weaving and spinning in.

Headache
I've got a blinding headache so a short post today. Weathers really nice today, if this headache shifts I'll be bbqing some chicken later. I'll get the garden started this week by planting some seeds indoors and maybe setting up the poly tunnel.
I've nearly finished the red cable plait bookmark, got a couple of ideas for a few more. I also had a eureka moment for the Iphone sock fastenings, more about that another time though. Going to lie down for a bit.
Have a great day folks, take care.

Up and down
Still having dizzy spells and waves of nausea. Its no fun being sick when you live alone, theres no sympathy to be had and you have to carry on regardless.
Good news though, I have finally finished the moss/seed stitch scarf. I say finished, its off the needles and has been weaved in but I haven't looked at the pockets yet. As it is alone without the pockets its still a fine scarf so worse comes to worse I can leave it as is if the pockets don't fit and I can't get the same yarn. I was surprised how much yarn the moss/seed stitch used, nearly 200g of double knit or the full 200g if you include the pockets.
I'm not sure what I will knit next, I'm not in the right frame of mind to tackle anything fancy. I think I might knit a swatch of the slip colour technique I saw in last months magazine. It looks a pretty simple method to knit with colours, no carrying the yarn. I'll write up about it when I give it a go.
Only just realised its Friday, thats what I get for spending a day in bed earlier in the week. There will be no picture post tomorrow but I will post something so pop back and see.

Feeling the cold.
I'm feeling much better today, my ears are still bunged up but I don't feel nauseous or dizzy. Slept past my alarm clock again, second time this week. I think its the whooshing noises my ears are making thats affecting my sleep or my alarm clock is broke, I didn't hear it go off but was awake watching and waiting. It probably went off and stopped then I woke up. Guess I'll find out tomorrow morning.
I couldn't seem to get warm at all walking the dog this morning, it is cold and the winds biting but no worse than normal. Figure because I'm under the weather I'm feeling the cold worse. The wind seemed to keep finding ways into my coat like fingers of ice. Feel fine in the house, not really cold at all inside.
The moss/seed stitch scarf is a couple of rows away from being finished, I could of finished it last night but wanted to leave casting off/binding off until today. I still need to measure the pockets and decide what to do next.
Have a great day, take care folks.

Dizzy
Sorry there was no post yesterday, I woke up in the morning feeling very nauseous and was unsteady on my feet. Think my bunged up ears are affecting my balance. I got up, gave the dog his tablets then went back to bed for most of the day. I'm not 100% today, feel a little queasy and am still a little unsteady on my feet, its like being on a ship in a mild storm. I managed to walk the dog and made it to the shops for some fresh bread, now I'm going to take it easy. Not really hungry, had a bowl of chicken soup and a slice of bread yesterday. I will try and eat something a little more solid later today.
Hope you all are doing well, have a great day and take care.

Writers, meme
Took this test thingy http://iwl.me/. Put some writing in and it tells you who you mostly write like. In under half I'm like Cory Doctorow, who I've never read. Over half the time I'm Stephen King.
So I guess I'll have no trouble posting loads and every once in awhile I'll post something good.
