Nowt doin

  A very slow non productive weekend. Saturday I didn't get a thing done, no matter what I tried to get done my head wasn't in the game. Sunday I did manage a little knitting but not much. Didn't sleep too well last night so I'm not even refreshed from doing nothing.

  My tv blew up a little while ago, I was in the kitchen when something went bang but I couldn't figure out what it was. I could smell an odd burning smell so thought it was the oven even though nothing was cooking. Then I realised it was quiet and figured the tv. Had a mess around with it, changing fuses but nope its deader than a dodo. Moving it was no fun, the things big and heavy and now sits on the floor in the living room.
   Got an older smaller tv set up now, I'm not going to buy a new one. I do have one more tv attached to a ps2, if these two break then thats it for me, no more tv. Will save me the bbc rip off tax.

   Thats all for today, I'm going to try and get some knitting done for awhile. See if I can make a dent in this scarf. Hope you all had a good weekend, have a good Monday and take care. 

Interrupted

   Got my bfl today, pretty darn quick. I've made a small start on the spinning but really need to do much more. I'm getting used to the kick spindle and its a much faster way to spin, though I'm not sure if it spins as tightly as the drop spindles do. My plan is to do half on the kick spindle and half on the drop spindle then ply the two halfs together.

  Discharging the batts. so that I can recharge them for more pictures for the weekend. I'll do some spinning pictures I think, but no promises. ...........

  As well as getting the bfl I got the gray yarn I had ordered and also another book, this one is all about arans and cables. I'll write more about the book once I've had a chance to look it over better. From what I've seen so far there are loads of cable patterns for me to knit.

  Going call it quits for now, my minds all blank(nothing new there really). I'll catch you all tomorrow, take care and have a good evening.

  Just been to do my weekly shop at asda and there very small selection of camping stuff is on its final sale.Picked up those canisters of gas 4 for £3 and got a metal, alu, 1l water bottle with cheap carabiner on the cap. The bottles say you can't use them for carrying fuel and looking inside the colours are different than my msr fuel bottle, still its nice to have a cheap strong water bottle to add to my collection.
 The gas canisters, look like aerosol cans, are great at that price. I don't often buy them unless there very cheap like today because I have so many of them. Each one will burn on full for approx 4 hours. I have two single burners that take them as well as a heater.

I need to sort out some pictures and I'll have a later post for you on the front part of the back pack, so pop by again later to have a look.
